Scholarship Benefits
This scholarship covers nearly every major cost associated with studying abroad, including:

Who is eligible?
The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships are open to a wide range of applicants, but you must meet requirements like:
- You must be a citizen or hold refugee status in a Commonwealth country.
- You must apply for a scholarship in a country other than your own. For instance, if you’re from Kenya, you cannot apply to study in Kenya but can choose from other participating countries.
- You must hold a 2:1 undergraduate degree or an equivalent qualification by the time you apply.
- Applicants of all ages are welcome – there is no upper age limit.
- The scholarship is only hosted by low and middle-income Commonwealth countries. High-income countries like the UK, Australia, Canada, or New Zealand are not included.

How to apply
The application process involves a few key steps. You must complete both the scholarship and university application:
- Check the List of Available Universities and Courses
Go to the official QECS platform and check the list of universities and eligible Master’s degree courses for this cycle. - Choose Your Course
Select a program that matches your academic and career goals. Make sure it’s listed as eligible for the QECS award. - Submit Your QECS Scholarship Application
Go to the QECS application portal. If you don’t already have a Myacu account, you’ll need to create one. Then, fill out the form and upload all required documents. - Apply to the University
In addition to the QECS application, you must also apply directly to the university where you wish to study. This is a separate process and must be completed to be considered for the scholarship.
Ensure you complete both the scholarship application and the university application on time to be considered.
